About the Role

We are seeking a highly competent and detail-oriented Accountant to manage the financial operations of a bar, restaurant, or lounge.

The ideal candidate should have 6–8 years of relevant accounting experience, with proven experience in the hospitality industry, particularly in a bar, restaurant, lounge, or similar business.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting and financial transactions.
• Monitor and reconcile daily sales and revenue.
• Reconcile cash, POS, transfers, and other payment channels.
• Maintain accurate records of income, expenses, invoices, payments, and receipts.
• Prepare financial statements and management reports.
• Monitor cash flow, expenditure, budgets, and business performance.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Monitor food, beverage, and operational costs.
• Support inventory and stock-control processes.
• Identify financial discrepancies, leakages, and control weaknesses.
• Ensure tax and statutory compliance.
• Support payroll and financial administration.
• Assist with audits and financial reviews.
• Analyse financial data and provide management with useful insights.
• Work closely with management and operations to improve cost control and profitability.

Requirements

• 6–8 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Proven experience working in a bar, restaurant, lounge, or similar hospitality business is required.
• Degree/HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Chartered Accountant (ACA or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and taxation.
• Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong integrity and ability to handle confidential financial information.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
